Inclusion Criteria

* Difficult cannulation of bile duct

Exclusion Criteria

* post-surgical upper GI anatomy
* previous endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreaticography or percutaneous transhepatic cholangiography
* papilla within a diverticulum
* coagulation disorder
