Brief Summary

Review the sponsor-provided synopsis that highlights what the study is about and why it is being conducted.

When the literature is examined, it is seen that the extent to which cough strength, grip strength, physical activity level and quality of life levels are affected in children with chronic kidney failure compared to healthy children is not sufficiently clarified. For this reason, this study aimed to reveal impairments in grip strength, cough strength, physical activity, sleep quality or quality of life in children with chronic renal failure compared to healthy children.

Detailed Description

Dive into the extended narrative that explains the scientific background, objectives, and procedures in greater depth.

The aim of this study is to compare children and adolescents with chronic kidney disease with healthy children and adolescents in terms of grip strength, cough strength, physical activity, sleep quality and quality of life. Participants will be evaluated for these parameters through clinical assessments, questionnaires and measurements. The aim of the study is to understand the health effects of chronic kidney disease and to provide the basis for improvements in the health management of these individuals.

Study Groups

Review each arm or cohort in the study, along with the interventions and objectives associated with them.

Chronic Kidney Failure Group

This group will consist of children and adolescents with chronic kidney failure.

Physical Evaluations of Patients with Chronic Kidney Failure

Intervention Type OTHER

In this study, data from children and adolescents with chronic kidney disease will be collected through face-to-face assessments. Grip strength, cough strength, physical activity, sleep quality and quality of life will be assessed in children and adolescents who meet the inclusion criteria. All data obtained through these assessments will be collected from participants face-to-face at one time and for a maximum of approximately 1 hour.

Control Group

This group will consist of healthy children and adolescents.

Physical Evaluations of Healthy Children

Intervention Type OTHER

In this study, data from healthy children and adolescents will be collected through face-to-face assessments. Grip strength, cough strength, physical activity, sleep quality and quality of life will be assessed in children and adolescents who meet the inclusion criteria. Data obtained through all these assessments will be collected from participants face-to-face at once and for a maximum of approximately 1 hour.
