* Age \> 60 years at the time of spinal stenosis surgery.
* Written informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

* Known amyloidosis
* Myelomatosis
* Monoclonal gammopathy of unknown origin, MGUS
* Morbus Waldenstrøm
