* Emergency or salvage procedure.
* Ejection fraction \<30 %.
* Patient in a critical preoperative state (Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) Stage 3 AKI \[20\] or requiring inotropes, ventilation or intra-aortic balloon pump).
* Pregnancy.
