* ability to tolerate surgery under general anesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
* neuropathic pain or sensory disorders in the leg requiring surgery
* previous surgery of the knee joint
* coagulation abnormalities
* chronic opioid users
* known history of intolerance to acupuncture-moxibustion therapy
