Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria
* postoperative ICU admission
* preoperative serum creatinine within 2 weeks prior surgery
Exclusion Criteria
* no surgery prior to ICU admission
* renal transplantation prior ICU admission
* chronic renal replacement therapy
* peritoneal dialysis
* missing preoperative serum creatinine within 2 weeks prior surgery
