Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

* Paroxysmal Atrial fibrillation (PAF).
* Persistent atrial fibrillation. Persistent AF is not self-limited.

Exclusion Criteria

* Previous pulmonary vein isolation ablation procedure
* Contraindication for anticoagulation
* Permanent AF
* Severe valvular pathology
* Concurrent use of antiarrhythmic medications
* Inability to give consent
* Pregnancy
