Inclusion Criteria
* age \>2 years
* weight \>5kg
* \>1 asexual parasite per 10 fields
Exclusion Criteria
* evidence of concomitant infection or serious disease
* recent use of antimalarial drugs
* severe malaria
* known allergy to study drugs
