* Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus
* Systemic mycotic infection
* Active tuberculosis
* Cushing's syndrome
* Psychotic mental disorder
* Herpes Simplex keratitis
* Serum creatinine exceeding 200 µg/ml
* Patients were also excluded if they had a history of previous peptic ulcer or thrombophlebitis.
