Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria
* Residents of nursing homes or long-term care facilities and deemed in need of treatment with an atypical antipsychotic medication.
Exclusion Criteria
* history of neuroleptic malignant syndrome
* hypersensitivity to risperidone.
